Since their founding in 1650, Sisters of St. Joseph have moved across the world endeavoring to address the needs of the day. In the twenty-first century, Sisters of St. Joseph remain a vital community of women who seek to be a unifying presence in the world. The Congregation of St. Joseph was formed in 2007 to more effectively live out the mission ‘that all may be one.’ This new entity is comprised of more than 700 sisters from founding communities in Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Kansas, New Orleans, Michigan and Minnesota. Having always been risk-takers, they continue to speak out about social justice issues, and walk in solidarity with those who are seldom heard. They faithfully minister through prayer and action . . . practicing “all works of mercy of which woman is capable” in the way their founders desired.
St. Joseph Conference & Retreat Center is a one way sisters live their mission to be present in the moment and open to the Spirit’s call. This serene space offers guests the opportunity to encounter the Divine . . . at any moment and in every way.
